Bought the coop a few months ago for our new chickens. The chickens are doing great, but wow, we feel foolish for spending so much money this product. None of the things that make it unique from a standard plastic coop actually work. We spent weeks messing with the cameras and app, and with significant time investment (and frustrating interactions with AI tech-support) got them to work for one of the two of us less than 50% of the time. The app design feels beta. Recently the door doesn’t open automatically when it’s supposed to (we’ve reset it more than once) so we are monitoring when the chickens are let out anyway. Sometimes it doesn’t even open when we do press the button (more resetting). Don’t buy this. The joy of chickens truly doesn’t require this nonsense and you won’t have to admit to your friends that you paid $2500 for a hunk of plastic.
Small upgrade that makes a surprisingly big difference.
